The Co-Ed Softball Championship Game--and the winner is...

Justin and I have played in a city softball league with many of Justin's dental school friends since the start of summer. We were undefeated (6-0) in the regular season, had a first round bye (since we were seeded #1), won the quarter finals, and had the semi and final games today.

A big crowd of friends from the dental school had come to watch and was cheering load and rowdy the whole game. It really made it a lot of fun. We had barely beaten the team we played in the semis before, but got to an early lead this time and won 17-7. The team we played in the championship definitely deserved to be there. They led each of the first 3 innings until the score was 7-4 and we were all feeling a bit nervous that we were going to blow it. Justin had the chance to hit with two on base and cranked a 3 run homer, his second of the night, at just the right time to tie it up. I hit a solid line drive into center field and had two RBI's! A couple innings later and a lot of good baseball playing from our team, we won the game 14-9! Perfect end to the season. We've had so much fun and can't wait to do it again next year!
