Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my (Alicia's) family in Las Vegas.  We took along our new video camera and got lots of footage, but no still photos.  We always said that we'd take pictures a little later, which turned into never.  Here's a short post about the trip (for posterity's sake).

  • One of things on my "to-do" list was get Chinese take-out from my favorite restaurant, Ho Ho Ho's.  It was delicious, even if it wasn't exactly the same as I remembered it.
  • We played lots of games, including Monopoly (actually, only Justin played with the fam--I could not handle it), Guestures, Wii, and tennis.
  • Had a LARGE Thanksgiving dinner with 3/4 of my Dad's siblings and my cousins (and their spouses and kids) = over 30 people
  • The Annual Christmas Gift Exchange Name Drawing
  • I went Black Friday shopping with Sarah and Camille.  This was our first shot at going shopping on this infamous day (usually the parents had forbid it in past years--but it's harder to do that now that we're all "adults").  Unfortunately there were not that many great deals at the Outlet Mall, but it was also not very crowded (we started at 7ish in the morning). However, we did very well at Ulta and Old Navy but the crowds were CRAZY--the checkout line was 45 minutes (we got in line as soon as we got there and took turns).
  • Set up the Christmas tree and other decorations.
  • Watched the BYU football team hand over the win to Utah.
