On Saturday we attended a birthday party at Flamig Farm in Simsbury, CT (about 30 min north of us). The weather was chilly, cloudy, and drizzling on and off.
But that did not stop Nolan from having fun. There is a black lab that runs around the farm, and Nolan was chasing him every where. (Bad picture, I know, but it was the only one we got with the dog.)
And there were lots of animals to pet and feed.
But the highlight for Nolan was the pony rides. I originally thought Nolan would be afraid of the pony, but not so. This kid rode the pony like a cowboy--with one hand on the saddle, the other free. He may not have had a huge smile on his face, but trust me, he loved it. It's just his "focused" look.
After Nolan took his turn, we went to feed the goats.
And then Nolan had the chance for a second ride...
...and was heartbroken when it was over.
It was a great Saturday activity for Nolan, and one we will surely repeat.

So cute! Yeah that's shocking how much he liked to ride the pony!
ReplyDeletePony ride=ok. Swings at the park=not ok. :) Looks like fun. You might have a Texan on your hands!
ReplyDeleteNolan is getting so big and is such a cutie. Hope things are going well for you guys.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute farm! What a good idea for a birthday party. Nolan is so cute on the horse, and that's hilarious how sad he got when he had to get off!
