Millie took a train to Connecticut for the weekend. She instantly became Nolan's best friend, and Nolan would hardly let her leave his side. Friday evening we had a picnic dinner at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford.
After dinner we strolled around the gardens.
I love seeing these extra large bumblebees.
Saturday morning we got off to a late start. But we finally made it over to Dondero Farms in Glastonbury for some raspberry picking.
Nolan would only pick the raspberries if you showed him which ones were ready. He was very good about being gentle with the berries and not smashing them.
Our pickings--four heaping pints of raspberries. We were only going to get three, but then we found a couple of bushes with gigantic, juicy berries that we just couldn't resist.
We left the farm and on the drive home an allen wrench got stuck in the side of our tire. Justin spent the next 3 hours getting two new tires for our car. Yay! We had dinner and then headed to the train station to drop Camille off. Nolan was so sad to see his friend go back home, but we're glad she was able to come up to visit. Come back soon!
