Bringing in the New Year in Las Vegas

After our stay in Denver, we caught a very early plane to Las Vegas. There weren't any escalators, but the moving walkway was interesting enough for Nolan.

When we arrived, we had a second Christmas opening gifts from our sibling exchange.

Here's Nolan practicing his unwrapping skills.

In our family the siblings draw names and this year Justin drew my brother Jacob.
He asked for one thing--a tennis bandana.  Mission accomplished.

Grandpa has a soft heart for Nolan and spent many hours playing basketball with him.

And we played a little basketball ourselves.  A few games of Knock-Out and a 5-5 game wore me out.

We also went to check the after Christmas sales, although they were disappointing.

New Years Eve we threw our own little party starting with some Chinese food from Ho Ho Ho's and games. And we went to bed right after midnight.
Camille and her fiance, Justin; Sarah and Tate; Justin and I.

New Years day we went out bowling and had a great time.

Even Nolan had a chance to bowl a bit.

Everyone bowled well, but my Dad bowled a turkey in the 10th frame.  Quite impressive.

That afternoon we all went out to eat at Brio. Justin did a good job entertaining Nolan.

We had such a wonderful time with our family.  Nolan was certainly spoiled by all his aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

And we made good memories playing board and card games.

We had wonderful, rejuvenating two weeks with our families--we certainly have a lot to be grateful for.

  1. This makes me sad, I missed out on half these events! But, we did have a fun time there while it lasted!
