Hello Nemo

Weather forecasters have been predicting that "Nemo" would be a historic winter storm.  Justin's patients and class were cancelled on Friday, and the Governor issued a travel ban--only emergency and necessary vehicles on the road.  So we had a whole day just to hang out inside. The snow started Friday morning around 8:30 am and slowly fell throughout the day.  Friday night brought more snow and very strong winds.  Saturday morning we woke up to "officially" 29 inches of snow, but some snow drifts were several feet high.

Besides the massive amounts of snowfall, the other major issue for the storm was the wind.  Before we went to bed, we took a picture of our car outside.  Although it was covered with snow earlier in the day, the strong winds last night actually blew most of the snow off our car...

...and created large overhangs of snow on the roof for us in the morning.

We've started shoveling but it's going to take a while and unless the snow plows get here, we won't be going anywhere. Luckily we still have power and can stay warm inside.
