Now back to Bristol: Touring ESPN

Ever since we moved to Connecticut, Justin has been so excited about being near ESPN and touring the studios.  He was sorely disappointed when he learned that the campus is closed to visitors (unless invited by an ESPN employee).  However, his mood quickly changed when we learned that someone from our ward works at ESPN.  We were going to become friends whether they wanted to or not. This summer we were able to tour ESPN headquarters in Bristol, CT, and had a wonderful time exploring.

A production room.  We watched through the glass window and could listen to all their conversations. A lot goes into those simple television shows we watch. It was quite fascinating.

Our last stop on the tour was the satellite "garden."  Those things are very impressive. 

We had a terrific time visiting.  It was a special treat to know that not everyone can see the "behind the scenes" of ESPN and we're grateful to Oesers for inviting us (and watching Nolan while we went).
